Here are some more inspiring blasts from the past in the typography and letterforms department from the old blog. My two main sources for these were a collection of old photo albums I digitized for a genealogy book and a bunch of old maps I researched for a cartography project.

Fresh. Do you remember what the name of the book was? Really diggin' the sixth one down of Los Angeles.

It was a private book we designed at my old job for some super-loaded Glendale family, I forget their surname. The backs of most of their photos had sick lettering. The maps are from the City of L.A.'s archives.
