Been partial to the work of Hex LOD for a minute, but bumping into this production by Wram, Keo, and Hex TGO made me stop and look! Hellzyeah! (I mean 'heck', my bad...) Peep the dope dedication to Skill UTI!

Well, the 'churchy' has worn off I see! Back to the Asian comic style bite eyebrows - it's all good..... Rock on HEX TGO!!!! Ya....mad style~~~~!!!!!!

Hex will always be respected!!! He does not separate his beliefs from his work. The "church" comment from this dude is pastwack as well as the "comic bite". Hex has been hitting against or for subjects since back in the days. We ran into him piecing here in South Central last week with Lion and Sano. He speaks about God and choices. He is even more of a leader to our L.A. youth than before. Skill UTI is also holdin down foreva and wont let go of whats right. Straight Stereo!

@Tank: I'm not sure that the Omega making the comment is a 'dude' if my memory serves me right, but it sounds like the person's criticisms comes with some baggage and background. I let it slide on this blog in the interest of free speech, but I do agree with you that Hex's artwork will and should always be respected and recognized as pioneering in the global graffiti culture.
Personally, I believe in filling your artwork with as much of your personal ideology as possible, as the art itself feels more real and honest. However, when that is done, you expose yourself to an open exchange of ideas.
Seeing Hex TGO rail against homosexuality so vehemently in the past really put me off from the rest of his messages (although his Bush/Hussein/checkerboard piece was spot on and revelant to this day, in my opinion.)
When art becomes a vehicle for hate against anyone, an alarm goes off in my head. If history is any indication, religious beliefs have frequently been used to the detriment of many (from the genocide of our Native Peoples all the way to modern revelations of the Catholic Church being complicit in the molestation of youth by the clergy.)
I wholeheartedly support the rights of Hex and anyone else to pursue their beliefs and express them. I also feel humanity will only progress when ideas of intolerance are met with questioning and debate.
Stylistically, I totally disagree with Omega's reference to Asian comics. I've long been into manga and anime, and I do not see Hex taking any of that. Of course, we are all influenced by everything we see, but Hex definitely stood out in terms of originality and style.
Peace,
